If it weren't for those pesky kids ...

Yes, it's a Scooby reference. Just for the record, as a child I never really got into Scooby and the gang. I was more of a Batman girl. Justice League. My first crush was Speed Racer followed by Aquaman. Now looking back on things, I think ... why didn't I crush on Racer X instead of Speed? I mean, c'mon ... Racer X is so much sexier and cooler. Speed, well ... he's a girly man.

There's a lot happening over at Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. INUYASHA remains a favorite. I recently watched an episode with Sesshomeru and Rin. She screamed, and without a change in expression or a word, he took off at a run to save her. Remember, he hates humans and refuses to care for them, but this little girl means something to him (altho he'll never admit to such). It was way cool. But then, I really like Sesshomeru. But WHY are anime villains usually pictured with white hair? I mean, it's like a "red shirt" on Star Trek. White hair on a manga or anime character is either a villain or someone important with a complicated nature. Another example would be the most wonderful villain of Final Fantasy fame ... SEPHIROTH. Don't understand said phenomenon, but totally fun anyway.

SAMURAI CHAMPLOO looked to be idiotic by the commercials. Instead, wicked cool and loads of fun. It's violent, much more so than the more cartoonish violence of many other series. And it's anachronistic in the extreme. And it works! Only a few episodes in and I'm hooked.

SUPER MILK-CHAN or somesuch title ... well, sucks. Weird and stupid and pretending to be cool. And many would disagree with me, but I'm no fan of FLCL either.

PARANOIA AGENT is new, I've only seen one episode so far, and it was the second one. Weird. Jury's out, but it looks intriguing. We'll see.

s-CRY-ed is new as well. I'm not sure, but I'm still watching.

BTW ... if any programmers from CN are reading (highly doubtful) bring back WOLF'S RAIN and YU YU HAKUSHO.

Anyway, anime rant over. Back to your normal lives, and God Bless.
